A Partnership with a Proven Track Record
toopixels worked with Hotel Bonalba for several years, and it was a genuine success story. Over that time our marketing added millions of euros to the resort’s bottom-line revenue, filling rooms, golf packages, spa breaks and events through a joined-up approach to demand generation. Hotel Bonalba is a 4-star golf and wellness resort in Mutxamel, just 15 minutes from the centre of Alicante and around 23 minutes from the airport. It describes itself as “un paraíso en Alicante,” a paradise in Alicante, and it lives up to it: an adjoining golf course, a wellness and beauty centre with a heated pool, sauna and Turkish bath, the Mediterranean Restaurante Cervantes, a tropical outdoor pool and elegant event spaces for weddings and corporate occasions. With everything from executive rooms to spacious loft suites, it is a resort that serves golfers, couples, wellness guests and business travellers alike.
What We’re Doing This Time
The brief is to grow direct revenue and reduce the resort’s dependence on third-party channels, while modernising how the business runs day to day. The work spans four connected areas.
1. Online paid customer generation
We are running paid campaigns across Google Ads and Meta to drive direct bookings for rooms, golf, spa and events. The focus is on profitable, direct revenue that the hotel owns, rather than commission-heavy bookings through the big travel platforms.
2. SEO and AI search
Paid media works hardest when organic visibility is growing underneath it. We are building Hotel Bonalba’s search presence so the resort ranks for the golf, wellness and Alicante getaway searches that matter, and so it shows up in AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI overviews, where more and more travellers now plan their trips.
3. A new website
We are redesigning the Hotel Bonalba website to be faster, mobile-first and built to convert, showcasing the resort’s golf, wellness and event offering and making direct booking effortless. For a resort, the website is the shop window and the booking desk at the same time, so it has to do both jobs beautifully.
4. AI systems for growth and efficiency
This is what sets the new chapter apart. Alongside the marketing, we are implementing AI systems to streamline how the resort operates and grows, from automating routine marketing and reporting tasks to handling enquiries faster and surfacing the insights that help the team make quicker, smarter decisions.
